Originally slated for a 2020 series commitment with CBS, it was canceled just before filming the first episode due to COVID. . Netflix has now picked up this 10-episode first season, based on another Mickey Haller book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates and legal terms.

Lincoln Lawyer was actually better than I expected. I’ve never read the books this was based on, but I watched the Matthew McConaughey movie and thought it was pretty good, but worthy of a series. I really expected this to be a low budget dupe.
I couldn’t have been more wrong
I actually liked it more than the movie. I wasn’t going to watch it until I saw all the great reviews and that it was one of Netflix’s most watched series of the year. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo does a good job as the lead and Becky Newton, Neve Campbell, Angus Sampson among others do a great job in the supporting roles.
