Joe, the CIA agent, tries to balance her personal and professional life as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic execution of weapons handling, house clearing, positioning, activity-based squads, etc… Presented at Sovereign Awards (2024). I waited 4 episodes to delve into this for a long time. The goal was to give me a chance to appreciate the gift given to us by the many top-notch actors who contributed to this work, which, by the way, was enjoyed and appreciated by many despite its mixed reviews. Many viewers have been told stories from a similar angle, but that insight remains exciting here while dealing with a confusing but well-woven plot with female leads, each of whom reliably captures our attention whenever she appears. At the halfway point, we can’t say whether this sense of urgency as we find out more and more of what’s going on will hold at its current level, but given the subject matter covered, the budget, and the talent pool they’re working with to successfully bring this to the screen, it’s going to be hard to miss the landing, largely due to the series’ solid foundation.
